Using a qualitative approach this research provides an in-depth analysis of the application and assessment of P5 in IPA instruction. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using the Ihwan (2020) model which includes data collection, data display, and verification/drawing conclusions. To ensure data validity the study employed triangulation techniques integrating the results from observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of P5 in the IPA subject at SMP N 1 Kedunggalar involves three main stages: planning, execution, and evaluation. P5 assessment is carried out through three primary aspects: project-based assessment which evaluates the final results and the project execution process, performance-based assessment which assesses students' ability to present project results in groups, and portfolio-based assessment which measures individual students' ability to compile written reports on the learning process. Each assessment aspect reflects the dimensions of P5 including faith, independence, mutual cooperation, global diversity, critical thinking, and creativity. This study provides significant insights into how P5 is applied within the context of IPA instruction and details how the dimensions of P5 are integrated into the planning, execution, and evaluation of the learning process at SMP N 1 Kedunggalar.
Fadhlan Rifqi Muzakky Rifqi Qurrotul Anfa Lucky Amatur Rohmani Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Pendidikan IPA dan Keilmuan (JPIK) 2024-09-26 2024-09-26 4 2 39 49 10.37471/jpik.v4i2.1011 The Effectiveness Of A Problem Based Learning Model On Earth And Solar System Materials With The Assistance Of Pop-Up Books On The Critical Thinking Ability Of Class Vii Students https://ejournal.stkipmodernngawi.ac.id/index.php/JPIK/article/view/1030
The research focused on 24 students of class VII A and class VII D of SMP Negeri 1 Pitu who had never previously been exposed to topics related to planets and the solar system. The main aim of this research is to find out how effective problem-based learning using pop-up book media is in improving students' critical thinking skills when studying topics related to the earth and the solar system. The method used is a purposive sampling method carried out by considering certain characteristics such as knowledge, experience, expertise, or information relevant to the research topic. During the experimental phase, two different groups were involved: experimental group I and experimental group II. They use inspection and documentation procedures. The pretest results for experimental class I were with an average score of 74.44, while the pretest results for experimental class II were with an average score of 69.72. The post-test results of experimental group I showed a score of 89.44 and experimental group II a score of 74.44, respectively. Therefore, it can be concluded that the critical thinking abilities of class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Pitu have improved overall in terms of the subjects they cover.
Resti Setyorini Nur Rokhmat Desi Nuzul Agnafia Anis Zahrotin Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Pendidikan IPA dan Keilmuan (JPIK) 2024-10-12 2024-10-12 4 2 50 55 10.37471/jpik.v4i2.1030 Implimentasi Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) Pada Hasil Belajar Tematik Muatan IPA Materi Siklus Hidrologi Siswa Kelas V Di MI Darussalam Pacet https://ejournal.stkipmodernngawi.ac.id/index.php/JPIK/article/view/1033
Students often consider science topics, particularly hydrological cycle material, to be a significant challenge. This is reflected in the low learning outcomes, where 45.83% of students do not reach the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). In addition, students' passive attitude during the learning process is one of the factors that affect these achievements. To overcome this problem, an innovative and effective learning approach is needed. One of the methods that can be applied is the STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) type cooperative learning model. This study aims to examine the effect of the application of the STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) type cooperative learning model on thematic Natural Sciences (IPA) learning outcomes, with a focus on hydrological cycle material in class V MI Darussalam Pacet. This study uses a quasi-experimental design, which allows researchers to compare two groups, namely the experimental group that applies the STAD model and the control group that uses the conventional model (DI). The method used was quantitative, with 46 research subjects in grade V. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the average posttest score for the experimental group reached 78.46, while the control group was only 55.41. This difference indicates that the application of the STAD-type cooperative learning model has a positive impact on student learning outcomes. Furthermore, the results of the t-test of independent samples showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000, which was smaller than 0.05. This concludes that the use of the STAD-type cooperative learning model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of thematic science in the hydrological cycle material in class V of MI Darussalam Pacet. This study provides evidence that innovative learning approaches can significantly improve student engagement and their learning outcomes, as well as provide insights for educators in designing more effective teaching strategies.
Heni Anggreyeni Akhmad Fauzi Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Pendidikan IPA dan Keilmuan (JPIK) 2024-10-28 2024-10-28 4 2 56 55 10.37471/jpik.v4i2.1033
