Abstract

With the rapid development of science and technology, various new concepts and discoveries regarding the teaching and learning process in schools have been created and developed further. The reality of education in Indonesia is that there are still many educational values that cannot be changed by educational institutions. One of the character values taught in elementary schools is an independent personality. If this problem is not addressed, boys' discipline will be low and the balance of discipline between boys and girls will be disturbed. Additionally, male students tend to make more noise during class, reducing their learning effectiveness. This gender segregation policy was also reformed by introducing 'separate but equal' qualities in private primary schools in the Widdalen district. The research method used is a qualitative approach to gain an in-depth understanding of segregation practices. The population of this study consisted of all 14 students in class 2A (boys) and 23 students in class 2B (girls). The research tool used was an interview guide for the school principal, class 2A and 2B teachers, and class 2A and 2B students. List of observations and documents to observe the process of implementing segregation according to the nature of student discipline. Based on the results of the data collected, it can be concluded that SDIT An-Nur does not differentiate between the facilities and infrastructure used in segregated and non-segregated classes. Segregation is only for gender groupings and the school believes that boys and girls in Islam are different in all aspects, including the rights and responsibilities they obtain in the learning process, and there are several things I want to teach children from an early age .
